Painting Demos and Advice for Artists

As a self-taught artist, I am constantly learning. I enjoy sharing my process with new artists because I know how intimidating it can be starting out. I post my current commissions and projects on my
art technique blog. You'll see that when you paint portraits, they can look quite strange in the beginning and still turn out ok. I hope that I can encourage beginners by showing the whole process, good and bad. On the left are some demos with instructions, progress photos and 3-5 minute time lapse videos of the process from start to finish.

If you want to learn to paint, I also recommend you visit my
Getting Started section. I've got my own trial-and-error advice on:

1)
Supplies you need and don't need at the beginning
2) Types of
paint and what to choose when you're starting
3) How to choose
good brushes
4) How to
blend paint on your palette
